My answer: probably my same four cars now, because this house costs $679,000! So I’d be foreclosed on within 5 years and wouldn’t have much funds for new vehicles during the downward spiral into financial ruin anyway.
:D

That took a turn

Where the f**k do you find a house near Seattle for that much?!

I can tell you what’s in ours: the Audi, the Alfa, the Hyundai, a lawnmower, a snowblower, and an unprecedented amount of junk.

This is maybe 30-40 miles north of Seattle.

So... you have 4 cars now

That’s a pretty good price actually.

I’ll keep this borderline realistic within the next 5-6 years.
Keep my Z4MC - do it up outlaw/bbi style (except with a bimmer), 993 GT2 clone, Mazda CX-5, Toyota Corolla iM manual

Project cars!!
![]() 02/16/2017 at 18:04 |

Well one is an RV spot so the obvious answer would be a single jetski and tons of junk.

Has to be a ranch house since my father and I hate stairs. Probably the same shitboxes I have 04 silverado, e38, joop, and the project yukon I have. Rest of the other cars will be on the lawn to piss off the neighbors.

Truck of some sort, Stage 3 B5 S4, 997 and a wild card.

Yeah but if you could afford a house with a 4 car garage you would garage your current 4 cars and have 4 more parked in the driveway. If I were to guess; a corolla wagon, a paseo, a t100 and a Lexus SC400

Well if I wasn’t in financial ruin.
1. Chevrolet Corvette C6 Z06 WB
2. Pontiac GTO M6
3. Holden Maloo GXP (HSV E S2)
4. Austin Healey 100-6 BN6

The bicycles get one spot. Then, the wife’s minivan, a little convertible like a Miata or a Fiata, and then a sweet luxury GT car. That would cover most of my moods.

If I made six figures, I still couldn’t afford this. At least not comfortably.

Easy: My GT-R, My wife’s Audi SQ5, our Giulia Quadrifellatio and our 4C.
How realistic did you say this needed to be??

A lift , in that tall single bay garage to the right.

NSX-R, 996 GT2RS, manual 6, and whatever my trophy wife would want. Because if I could afford that house, I could afford all the rest.

I’m keeping these 4 in there

I’m looking at places near D.C., and $679k gets you like 1500 sq ft with one garage, maybe.
Anyway.
Lexus 460, Ford F-250, Fiat 124, Alfa Guila Quadrifrisjshfuwlaodudio.

That thing is only $679,000?! In the Bay Area, it would easily be a few million, at first estimate, probably three to four on today’s market.
This is a $660,000 Bay Area home:
Probably why my parents really don’t want to leave here considering that trying to come back would be astronomically expensive.

Honda NSX
BMW M5 (E39)
Lancia Delta Integrale 16v
Volvo 850R
And a Rangie where the van is, because rules are overrated.

How many bath tubs of death in that house?
![]() 02/16/2017 at 18:45 |

The Teg, New Civic, Toyota 4Runner Honda Passport, and a cheap American classic.
![]() 02/16/2017 at 18:46 |

I’d have a 3 car garage and use the difference to buy better looking exterior materials :)
When will the rock be glued on?

For that little*
![]() 02/16/2017 at 19:19 |

Yes you could. You might not be able to have four cars to fill the garage with, however.
![]() 02/16/2017 at 19:20 |

You might be able to fit two deep in the RV spot, or put a lift in there and stack ‘em.
What I am saying is that you don’t have enough cars.

Assuming I have the kind of income that allows me to afford that house, I think I’d get a single-cab 4WD manual RAM 2500, a Challenger V8 (but probably not a Hellcat because I don’t want to immediately wrap it around a tree), a Ford Flex for my partner (he likes them), and probably keep the 4th spot open for a succession of random project cars/toys.

They would already be full.
Bay 1 & 2 - for my classic cars
Bay 3 - Work area and the motorcycle
Bay 4 - Mrs McMike’s daily driver (also available for my daily driver if I need to work on it.

1) Mazda5
2) E39 M5
3) Vanagon Westfalia
4) Bentley Flying Spur
My ex had a house on a corner lot that started out as a 3 bed, with a detached two car garage. A previous owner knocked down some walls and made it a more spacious 2 bed. Then they added a second two car garage, and then filled in the space between the house and the garages to make a large family room. I would have liked to keep that place, but it was in such a crime-ridden area I would probably hated living there. My PowerBook was stolen, and if I had more electronics there I assume that they would have been ripped off as well.

Classy. I love the holy union of composite siding with shingles.

enough tools, and tool boxes, and benches that only one project car would nicely fit at a time.........comfortably........

Nice collection (esp the Integrale), and with a lift in the RV spot you could fit all five!

That’s what I mean. Bought a fixer upper here in Seattle, and it’s been a money pit.

There isn’t a 660k home, unless it’s next door to the Richmond chevron refinery. I know homes in mountain view that are over $1600/sq ft in value.

Indeed. I just went on Zillow and tried my best, but to be honest it’s probably going to sell above 1 mil or more.
![]() 02/17/2017 at 13:15 |

Did I mention that my “fixer upper” still cost me 7 figures before I even started tearing into it?

What a horrible choice in materials.. The way the siding creeps up into each gable end where it transitions to the cedar shingles is very odd.

Well since I live near a college, I would convert it to one or two student rental units and make $$$ every month.
